What's in Our Soap - Plant Based Ingredients
Go Vegan with Your Skincare
One of the main questions we get on our live streams is: What's in your soap? I love getting this question because it gives me a chance to discuss some of the benefits of the soap along with why you should choose plant based ingredients for your skincare needs.
When I first started making soap most of the bars I saw had lard or beef tallow as the primary ingredients and I thought why in the world would I knowingly put these in my soap. Now the truth is there is nothing wrong with these ingredients...in fact they make some incredible bars of soap.
For me, there had to be an alternative. I searched high and low but there was nothing on the market to guide me. So I decided to work on my own custom formulations that were exclusively plant based.
I also wrote and published the Vegan Soap Cookbook which is packed with my unique recipes for new soap makers who wanted to Go Vegan with their skincare.
